October is a big month for Alexa. Not only have we wrapped up some major projects, including increasing our global traffic panel, but we also welcomed two new amazing team members to Alexa. Continue reading
We’re excited to announce that after a lot of hard work, the size of Alexa’s global traffic panel will be significantly increasing. Over the next month we’ll be incorporating lots of new data points, which will help improve the accuracy of our metrics. As a reminder, our data panel is a sample of global Internet traffic used to calculate Alexa ranks and estimate non-Certified metrics.
Fantastic – now what does this mean for me?
Great news! We have been hard at work expanding and updating our services and we are excited to announce the following new features and functionality now available to our customers. These enhancements make our data more accessible and intuitive to understand so you can quickly gather the most relevant insights, in the format that works best for you.
For the second year in a row, Alexa won first place in the the Team Bike Challenge, San Francisco Small Company category. Since we have the good fortune to be headquartered in the heart of the beautiful Presidio in San Francisco, CA, biking to work and being active is part of our company culture. During this bike challenge alone, our team saved over 1,200 lbs of CO2 and burned over 55,000 calories.
Congrats everyone! Looking forward to celebrating another victory in 2015.

There are few sporting events that capture a global audience quite like the World Cup. In major US cities, it is nearly impossible to walk by a bar, restaurant (or office conference rooms for that matter) without seeing all eyes anxiously glued to the TV and overhearing raucous excitement when a favorite team makes a goal. This inevitably leads to the topic everyone likes to analyze every four years – is this the year when pro soccer finally takes off in the United States?
The long list of features that come with Alexa’s Advanced-level subscriptions might sound daunting, but really it’s like buying a new car fully loaded. Just get the salesperson to show you what you can do, and you’re ready to ride like never before.

While Alexa is a company with a rich, 20-year history in data analytics, this is a particularly exciting and special time for us. Based on your customer feedback, we recently completely redesigned our website, offering a more streamlined and straightforward user experience. In addition, you no longer need to be a site owner to subscribe to our Alexa Pro services allowing more digital marketers and content publishers to take advantage of all we have to offer.
One thing, however, hasn’t changed and that is our focus and commitment to our customers. Alexa is a small, but mighty team and I know that everyone here is motivated to help our customers solve their business challenges and give them the insights they need to be successful. Our website relaunch is just the beginning, and we will be launching additional services and features in the near future. We look forward to hearing your feedback as we continue to grow and expand so please don’t be shy! This is only the beginning.
